I have had a long and winding relationship with yoga. It all started when I went to my first class back in 2005 – I was nervous, sweaty and out of shape. The final pose – savasanah – left me feeling elated. I couldn’t wait to do it again. My training as a nurse gives me a unique perspective and skill set when it comes to teaching yoga. I am focussed on correct use of the body through yoga, paying particular attention to alignment and injury prevention.
Leaving my job as a nurse to pursue a career as a full time yoga teacher is both a leap of faith and the logical next step in my addiction to yoga. It is my goal to bring yoga to everyone who wants to practice – regardless of fitness level, previous experience or past injuries.
I hope you’ll join me on the mat soon.
